In April 2022, Central Providence Unidos and Innovation Studio launched the Biz Bodega in a commercial space owned by One Neighborhood Builders at 222 Manton Avenue, a main business corridor in Olneyville. The vision was to create a highly accessible, welcoming, and professional front porch/one-stop shop environment for local businesses to launch and grow. 

Language barriers and overly burdensome administrative requirements exclude many small businesses in Central Providence from accessing private and public resources to support their businesses. In 2021, our working group focused on fostering business development identified that local small businesses, entrepreneurs, and nonprofits would benefit greatly from access to a centralized space with connections to business development resources and services.
